More Government - Less Choice? - Cost Survey

Before government tries to restrict consumer choice and reduce competition in garbage and recycling services, residents should have the facts.

​Consumers know they get the best value when they choose their waste collector without government interference.

As a matter of fact, the 306-page MPCA study admits: "It should be noted that this survey (of garbage rates) was not a scientific process with random sampling.  Also, there are many variables that affect pricing."
